Energy Saving Action - Insulating Glass
The adoption of insulating glass is one of the actions that KRAIBURG Rubber Suzhou took in order to tackle energy shortage and contribute to the carbon dioxide emissions.
The trigger point is also related to the control of electricity consumption in 2022. KRAIBURG Rubber (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. is willing to cooperate with the government to carry out energy-saving actions and fulfill part of its social responsibilities. The traditional single-pane windows, which are a significant source of energy loss were replaced with insulating glass system. The project started from Nov. 2022 and was completed in April 2023.
Insulating glass can reduce conduction heat transfer and reduce convective heat transfer and radiation heat transfer. According to statistics, in some European countries, the use of insulating glass can save 40-50L of fuel oil per square meter per year than ordinary single-layer windows. Also, it can reduce noise by 30-44dB, and reduce traffic noise by 31-38dB generally.
