The quality of a rubber compound strongly affects the performance of the final product. At KRAIBURG Rubber Suzhou, we control every key step. This includes raw material selection, recipe development, mixing, testing, and delivery.
Our integrated management system is certified to the following standards:
KRAIBURG Rubber Suzhou has also achieved 4A Green Factory status. This reflects our focus on efficient, low-carbon, clean, and sustainable production.
Our quality system includes experienced teams, selected raw materials, strong mistake-proofing systems, and controlled production processes. We also ensure full traceability from raw materials to finished rubber compounds. We monitor workflow, process data, and product performance closely. Our automated production processes record key information from each step. This includes raw material testing data, mixing parameters, processing data, and final product test results. We test each batch according to customer specifications. Standard release tests include rheology, viscosity, hardness, density, and tensile strength. Through certified management systems and continuous improvement, we help customers receive stable rubber compounds, reliable service, and responsible material solutions.
About 10% of our employees work in research and development, process engineering, and quality assurance. Their expertise helps us develop reliable rubber compounds for demanding applications.
Our database includes thousands of formulations and test results. This knowledge helps our chemists select the right compound faster and more accurately.
A good rubber compound depends on more than the recipe. It also requires high-quality raw materials, advanced mixing equipment, strict process control, and accurate laboratory testing.
We use raw materials from selected suppliers. We also check incoming materials to ensure stable quality. Our tests include standard methods such as viscosity, melting point, and moisture checks. We also use modern physical and chemical methods, including TGA testing.
KRAIBURG Rubber Suzhou installed a clean room in its production facility. The clean room follows ISO 14644-1 Class 6, which is equivalent to US FED STD 209E Class 1000.
The clean room includes two mixing lines with open mills, batch-off equipment, and one open mill compounding line. These facilities allow us to produce rubber compounds under very clean conditions.
Clean room compounds are suitable for applications such as:
We inspect every compound produced in the clean room. Our laboratory also provides an inspection certificate for each batch.
Our traceability system records each production step. This allows us to trace the final compound back to the lot number of each raw material batch.

KRAIBURG TPE Technology (M) SDN. BHD.

Gummiwerk KRAIBURG Austria Ges.m.b.H.

Establishment of Gezolan AG in Dagmersellen/Switzerland. Only three years later it was decided to expand operations with this business idea in Switzerland, where recycled rubber was used to manufacture new products. GEZOLAN AG was established with headquarters in Dagmersellen, in the Swiss canton Lucerne.
EPDM Granules / Floor Coverings

At KRAIBURG, the first steps toward processing old rubber into new products were successful. Since KRAIBURG saw great market potential in this segment, a company in Tittmoning was acquired, which became Gummiwerk KRAIBURG ELASTIK GmbH.
Elastik – Stable Flooring; Strail – Products for Rail Systems

Production begins at Gummiwerk KRAIBURG Austria Ges.m.b.H. & Co. in Geretsberg, Austria. The geographical proximity and the good market opportunities there were ideal for establishing a separate production site in Austria, since the “high customs wall” made exports to Austria unfeasible. In August 1964 the “Sängergut” estate in Geretsberg, Austria, 57 km from Waldkraiburg, was bought at auction and converted into a rubber factory: Gummiwerk KRAIBURG’s Austria.
Tire Retreading

The history of Gummiwerk KRAIBURG began on October 22, 1947. In that year, Friedrich Schmidt senior began producing rubber compounds in Kraiburg – Hart, using rather limited resources and operating under very difficult conditions. While the beginnings of Gummiwerk KRAIBURG are rather humble, a solid foundation was laid for the future success of the KRAIBURG Group. Thanks to the tireless work and commitment of the founder’s sons Peter and Fritz A. Schmidt, sales and production increased year on year.
